I thank Shri MK Singhal for compiling the web sites that helps citizens in resolving their problems with Government by learning the procedure and downloading forms.
In my humble opinion, further improvements are needed:
(A) In addition to facility of downloading forms, there should be facility of on-line submission of forms.
(B) Compliance with Section 4 of RTI Act should be evident in all Government web sites.
(C) There is need for interactive web sites, with focus on grievance redressal.
(D) There is need for simplification for procedures, instead on merely computerizing procedures as they exist. For example, why should the Government insist on attestation by gazetted officers; they should rely on self attestation by applicants.
(E) Preventive vigilance should be the prime focus,in all cases where citizens interact with Government agencies. Simplification of procedure and transparency is needed to reduce corruption. Vigilance departments should be able to study the "agents" that surround Government offices to feed institutionalized corruption, find out their modus-operendi and improve the systems. This is not "rocket science", will and sustained efforts are needed.
You and I can contribute by visiting these web sites and respective offices, to suggest improvements to the appropriate authorities.
