[rti4empowerment] Remembrance meeting for Manjunath Shanmugam at IIM Lucknow by IRD

 

Friends,   Tomorrow (18/11/2010), we from the Institute for Research and Documentation in Social Sciences (IRDS) and National RTI Forum are organizing a condolence meeting to remember Manjunath Shanmugam, the Alumnus from IIM Lucknow who was brutally murdered five years ago on 19th November 2010 by the petrol pump owner and his goons just because he was coming in the way of their illegitimate practices including selling adulterated petrol and manipulation of meter readings. The meeting will be convened at Room Mo 202 of the PGP block of IIM Lucknow where we shall be paying Manjunath our regards on his   death anniversary. At the same time, we shall also discuss about the demand we have initiated to bestow Padma Awards to both Manjunath and Satyendra Nath Dubey, the IIT Kanpur graduate who was murdered in similar circumstances while working for the National Highway Authority of India.   Dr Nutan Thakur, Secretary,IRDS, Lucknow 94155-34525
