[rti4empowerment] PRACTICES AT CIC

CIC generally dispose of the case ordering the PIO to provide the information. Many times, CIC does not stipulate time for providing information. In such circumstances, what an appellant should do if he does not get information within reasonal time say one month from the date of order? Views of RTI experts are solicited on the following.

Is it justified to dispose the case after directiong the PIO to provide the information and many a times, order is not complied?

Should the CIC not mention the time for provide information in its all decision?

Sometimes, cases are reminded back back to the FAA for issuing speaking order justifying the denial of information, instead of deciding such cases during the hearing.  Is it in accordance with RTI Act?
