NEXT CHIEF INFORMATION COMMISSIONER - POLL

Reportedly, in a communication, All the Central Information Commissioners, barring Shri Shailesh Gandhi, have requested the Govt. that the next Chief IC should be selected from among the present Commissioners. At present, 6 ICs are eligible for the post out of the present strength of 7 as Shri A N Tiwari will be retiring on 31.12.2010.
The six Commissioners are:
1. Mrs. Annapurna Dixit 2. Shri Satyananda Mishra 3. Shri M L Sharma
4. Shri Shailesh Gandhi 5. Mrs. Deepak Sandhu and 6. Mrs. Sushma Singh
Members are requested to mention the name of the IC to who they would like to see as the next Chief Information Commissioner. This is a sort of opinion poll which may even guide the govt. when deciding about the next CIC.
