Namaskar,
In reference to the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles, Regulations for School Buses, Rules, 2011.
There are large numbers of Maruti Omni school vans being used for transporting children.
Shockingly, many of these are either privately owned, yet being hired by the parents or schools, and some are plying on the roads without permanent registration.
Apart from the simple fact that it is, in all likelihood, illegal, what would be the situation in case of an accident.
Who would be responsible
01 RTO who has permitted these vehicles go around without registration
02 MTP who has not compounded them
03 Schools which are blind to such violations
04 Parents who also don't bother about such illegal actions would endanger their children who use such vehicles
05 Owners of these unregistered, private vehicles who wish to save money by not registering them before plying
06 Drivers who are rash, dangerous, and do not follow traffic rules as a rule
Truly unfortunate that such vehicles, used for school children, are flouting and violating the traffic rules so blatantly without fear of compounding action.
Where are we heading.
Thanqx.
