[rti4empowerment] Laws - Amendment & Enactment

 

Dear Friends,

Constitution of USA is less than 25 pages,
It is the oldest written Constitution & was adopted on September 17, 1787 (223 yrs back),
It has been amended 27 times so far,
The last amendment (27th) was proposed in 1789 whereas its enactment took place in 1992 !!

Constitution of India is more than 450 pages,
It has been adopted on January 26, 1950 (61 yrs back),
It has been amended 109 times so far,
Another 5 amendments from 110 to 114th are pending before the Parliament !!
