[rti4empowerment] Grammar of Corruption - Part II

Dear Friends,

The basic Question raised in Grammar of Corruption Part - I, was, Is Corruption, Region Specific, Religion Specific, Country Specific, Institution Specific, Government Specific or Profession Specific "After all, who is responsible for Corruption"?

Now Further, Part - II:

Birth of Corruption:

Corruption happens when Temptation (Greed) MEETS Permission (opportunity facilitated by Power)

Or maybe, Opportunity created by Power, tests the best of the human beings to endure the opportunity ..........

To Summarize:

Greed + No Required Power = Cannot be Corrupt to the extent of one's Greed.

No Greed + Power = Will not be Corrupt.

Greed + Power = Corrupt.

Thus, to address the equation of Corruption, one needs to address minimum, either (1) Greed or (2) Power. Let us examine both the ingredients in greater detail:

(1) Greed :

Emotions both positive and negative are built into a human being and as such every single human being is bound to experience these emotions at some point of time in life. No one can claim immunity from experiencing each of these emotions.

Greed is one such emotion in-built into every human being.

Greed > If guided ethically towards Ambition > will result into an individual's progress & in-turn a nation's PROGRESS,

Whereas Greed > If unguided, may lead towards Temptation > which may result into an individual's progress but a nation's REGRESS, especially in equitable distribution of national resources.

Please understand: Nobody can claim immunity from any of these emotions bestowed on human beings and as such, emotions can only be ethically guided / channelized :).

आपने अक्कल, शर्म और मोहब्बत से पूछा के आप कहा रहते हो?

अक्कल ने जवाब दिया, में इंसान के दिमाग में रहेती हु,
शर्म ने जवाब दिया, में इंसान के आँख में रहेती हु,
मोहब्बत ने जवाब दिया, में इंसान के दिल में रहेती हु.

फिर आपने तक़दीर, हवस और लालच से पूछा की आप कहा रहते हो?

तक़दीर ने जवाब दिया, में इंसान के दिमाग में रहेती हु.
आपने फ़रमाया की, लेकिन वहा तो दिमाग रहता है.
तक़दीर बोली की जब मै आती हु, तो वहा से दिमाग रुक्सद हो जाता है.

हवस ने जवाब दिया, में इंसान के आँख में रहेती हु.
आपने फ़रमाया की, लेकिन वहा तो शर्म रहती है.
हवस बोली की जब मै आती हु, तो वहा से शर्म रुक्सद हो जाती है.

लालच बोली, में इंसान के दिल में रहेती हु.
आपने फ़रमाया की, लेकिन वहा तो मोहब्बत रहेती है.
लालच बोली की जब मै आती हु, तो वहा से मोहब्बते रुक्सद हो जाती है.

Please Note:

(1) लालच = Greed (which is one of the ingredients of corruption, the other one being ?)

(2) POWER, a derivative of its Concentration ..... to be continued in Part III.
