i want to promote RTI in holy city hardwar ,which is becoming industrial hub in uttarakhand and lot of corruption is spreading day by day in every govt offices , people here are not very much aware of RTI act-2005, i want to promote this in hardwar, i need some platform to promote it ,as individually i can not do it as i am also a govt employee and my company may take indirectly action on me,you better know why, i have already filed a no. of RTIs against my own company i.e. CPSE,so kindly request with NGOs to kindly give their name for the promotion of RTI and also suggest how it can be promoted here.i was thinking of sticking posters in hindi through out city & also senior RTI activist & NGO to visit Haridwar, i want to tell a simple case of corruption in hardwar, that mr lekhpal in hardwar tehsil are demanding 2% of stamp duty in case some property is purchased by anyone for dakhil khariz and 1% for registry similarly the same is going on in other departments , i have taken up corruption matter with BSNL, nagar panchayat,tehsils,registrar office etc etc,but still there is lack of awareness in people about RTI.
