Re: [rti4empowerment] Any Suggestions?

Hi Ajeet ji, The idea is excellent, but the idea of biometrics is abhorrent. will fuel the open air prison, it's ultimate use by the politicians.Maybe giving identity and unique password, with a login is a good idea. something like a website on the mobile??? or even on line. whynot.

We - a small group of like minded people, are working on developing a solution, whereby any bona fide citizen can register himself as a voter on-line/cell phone, get his unique voter ID (Like OTP for IVR transactions on Cards) and also cast his vote through net or phone from his home - irrespective of his location on the voting day.

This will free the citizens from many problems including that of their name not being in the voters' list or one not being able to reach the polling booth.Necessary changes in the law are being thought about and discussed with the right people.Necessary safeguards - like integrating biometrics, are being contemplated - but brain storming is needed.

Kindly give positive suggestions and also the probable loopholes in such a system.

At HIS Feet,
Ajeet Saxena
