- There is no need to go in person for submitting RTI application but the PIO's refuse to accept and call the applicant?
- There is no need to insist the applicant for hearing in first appeal when all relevant points are submitted but appeal officer is insisting . In one case my fellow activist is calles by Addl. judge cum appeal officer by repeatedly sending beliff ( who is not supposed to work for RTI but for court proceedings only) and insisting to attend with harsh word used like "here by warned to remain present" .
- The beliff has visited in night at 8 pm and sat there for one hour before 80 year old mother in law of my lady activist friend saying I am from court and want to see the applicant to serve the court summon ( when it was for hearing of appeal under RTI).
- The PIO's in BMC and city survey office called me nicely to their office after I made some RTI application. They insistingly called for tea and tried to make good atmosphere ( otherwise the same officers are normally rude,callous,wont even offer chair ). They discussed some of the points. But when they sent reply to my application they wrote this point was explained to you in personal meeting. And I never got a proper reply to my queries in writing or in meeting.
Kindly oblige by stating whether acts of above PIO and appeal officers are right?
If they are not right then what is a remedy ??
