[rti4empowerment] Re: Emailing: Nine Pictures of the Extreme Income-Wealth Gap

Dear Mr. Moderator

Sir

I request you to kindly examine why a few persons here are repeatedly posting messages to other members which are completely unrelated to stated objectives of rti4empowerment.. A few common features of these mails are that they are (a) rich in images, (b) rich in links, (c) rich in references to non-government organizations.

Emails which are rich in images are commonly used by spies as a means to transfer coded information. This process is known as digital "steganography",  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steganography

"In digital steganography, electronic communications may include steganographic coding inside of a transport layer, such as a document file, image file, program or protocol. Media files are ideal for steganographic transmission because of their large size. As a simple example, a sender might start with an innocuous image file and adjust the color of every 100th pixel to correspond to a letter in the alphabet, a change so subtle that someone not specifically looking for it is unlikely to notice it."

Even if the actual email does not contain a steganographic encryption, intelligence agencies routinely use sympathizers, low level operatives (quislings) to add electronic clutter. In short, the posting profile of Urvi Sukul Singh indicates it is either a foreign agent or the posts from this account are being used to mask steganographic posts of other operatives / spies on this mailing list.

Emails which are rich in external links are typical for persons / gangs  engaged in "work at home scams" or "Nigerian 419 scam".
To take the example of the most recent mail on 9 pictures of income disparity. The first link is to a "DONATE" button for truth-out.org. This organization is a notorious partner of work-at-home scammers. They pay 25% of all donations received to the spam networks who circulate their emails. Many email links in their messages are directly coded to websites which install spyware onto computers. As a group moderator you have the moral and legal responsibility to ensure safety of your members.

Take the case of another message post on FORESTS from Greenpeace. Kindly clarify your policy on indiscriminate forwarding of random emails to the list. As a recipient of such messages which I may not agree with, if I post back to  the list who will discuss it ? Can any meaningful discussion take place when the proponents are not members of the list and are operating at arms lengths through their proxies ?

I hope that you will take careful note of my submissions.

Dr. Vinita
