[rti4empowerment] Lokpal Civil Sty Bill - A Mirage in the Desert?

Dear Friends,

Ref: Lokpal Bill.

Corruption is one of the several forms of injustice. Delivering justice falls under the ambit of the Judicial branch of the government.

Enacting a quasi-judicial body for delivering justice is an utopian concept, a mirage in the desert. Enacting Acts (there are many wonderful laws) is great, but IMPLEMENTATION is the KEY.

Constitution of India has sufficient provisions for delivering justice. You may please go through Article 12 to 35 titled Fundamental Rights; especially relevant to the subject matter of discussion Article 14 & 16(1):

Article 14 which states "Everybody is equal before the law and everybody should get equal protection of law"

Article 16(1) which provides for an equal opportunity for all the citizens of our country to cross the boundary between CIVIL MASTERS & CIVIL SERVANTS.

Revisiting back to Article 14, how can an unequal law be enacted for a citizen of the country (Civil Servant) which would result into contravening the fundamental rights guaranteed under Article 14 and as such violate the Basic structure of the Constitution of India ( Corruption is not limited to Civil Servants, it is prevalent in the Civil Master's Society as well !!!)

Friends, corruption needs to be defined more clearly and its ambit also needs to be extended in compliance with Article 14 of the Constitution of India.

Transparency is the KEY.

Best Regards,

Sunil.

Dear Umapathy

I just wish to remind you that THIS rti4emp is part of the RTI-Unity project (not to be confused with another fake group which is a dumping ground for all kinds of spam emails). At this group we fully allow / encourage members to speak/express freely. We are the ONLY such RTI group where members can publicly disagree with the moderators./owners (like me) without much fear of spiteful retaliation.

If there is any public forum where I can directly correspond with Mr Anna Hazare, instead of going through his flunkies and shango-pangos, please tell me so that I can address my issues to Sri. Hazare directly. Till such time, I reserve the right to hold and express MY opinions (and can say with authority that a large portion of this group does not differ with me).

yes Roy sir, you are right that everyone is entitled to hold his own views   and share them on this group. But this view is subject to reasonable restrictions. your various posts clearly show  you are continuously crossing the limits. Majority members are dissatisfied with your baseless allegations against certain group of members. You  are not sparing   even shri. Anna who is beginning his fast unto death. When entire nations is supporting his stand, your comparison of his personality with shailesh Gandhi etc and others have no logic and reasons. pelase refrain your self from making such comments.

Dear Ashok-ji

1) Would it not have been better that you disclosed your conflict of interest in this matter insofar as support for MGK is concerned ?.

2) Every person is entitled to hold his own views and share them (within reason) on this group.

3) If Anna Saheb feels defamed by my comments, all his legal rights are open. Is it not curious that allegedly he was the only soldier of his company to be saved during the 65 war, and he survived by running away and hiding in some bushes ?

Dear Gupta

You are correct that Anna is (Shailesh) Gandhi, Subhash (Chandra
Agrawal) and Jaiprakash Narain (of transparency NGO). rolled into 1.
This is all the more reason why honest Indians should avoid this
person (who is only a dummy for corrupt Congress Party and is remote
controlled by Rahul Gandhi's backroom [backdoor ??] boys)
