Since IAC led by Anna Hazare , Arvid Kejriwal & others have brought the issue of corruption to a stage that the government is forced to take the issue seriously & do some thing in a time bound manner , a whole industry has been created of people questioning the draft JLP Bill , the civil society , the IAC movement , the committee members , the Bhushans ,one of the Bhushan & not the other , the composition of the committee , why no dalit , muslim or women etc. etc. Why now ? How Now ?
I am sure these gentle men had they been around in the past would have criticized the Gandhi Ji led Dandi March , Quit India Movement , The Freedom Movement too. I understand the idea here is to do every thing perfectly like our Amir Khan the perfectionist , or not do at all.
For all the late rising well meaning & nay saying do good-ers among us , for the past 42 years a very ineffective LP Bill has been lying around with the government , for 8 years we have not signed the UN Convention Against Corruption , lacs of crores of Indian corruption & crime money is floating around in India & abroad , corrupt & criminals are prospering around us ,enjoying high positions of power & money , we also find time to go to them with folded hands when we want favours & if we cant fix it our serves with a bit of money .
As corruption hurts the poor most , we now in our country India have a whole continent of poor with no food , no education , no sanitation or medical care ...in fact no life at all ...& no hope too for the next few generations as they cant eat GDP or growth rates .
Their food money got siphoned off , their school building & books got siphoned off too , the road got eaten up , became the wager the contractor paid to get the contract , went right up to the minster ,
the sanitation never arrived , the NREGA funds too get siphoned off .
We surely hold our politicians responsible for this ? But are they the only ones ? What about those who run their talking shop , the TV debates , the editorials , the face bookers , the tweeters , the bloggers , the mass emailers , SMSers , the posters here like me ???
Do we get some of the credit too to keep their life in the "pending"
tray... waiting for some action.
