I too wonder if god really exists.
And my next question would be: if god exists then can god be pleased thru the commonly popular means like puja/ aarti/ ganga snan, rituals?
If you and me have an assistant (spouse, partner, friend, boss) who does lot of praise of ours, lot of masakabaji (buttering) but does no work then will we be ever happy with him?? And on the top of it if he/she is immoral, careless, causes hurts to our loved ones then what will be our reaction to him/her??
Does this give reply to my above question??

If one just sings songs praising God, do Ghee ka diya everyday, go on pilgrims regularly but is sinful, violent, hurts the god's children ( be it old parents, spouse, neighbors, staff, customers etc etc.),delays others work, harasses them, demands bribe, dowry, charges unjustifiably high fees. etc, if he is partisan and gives preference to cast, creed, sex, post and position, etc, and so on then will he be loved and taken care of by God??
Worst is following two types:
J Rishee called me a person doing nothing but just writing mails and interfering in others life. Recently I was told that his nana nani in law had to spend Rs 9 lacs towards dowry in his marriage. Is doing nothing (that too harmless/ or creating awareness etc thru mails / pravachan) is bad or squeezing girl side is?? And specially when the girl's mother has been struggling hard to cope with competitive world as sole earning member for over a decade.Pl. send comments on such a person who taunts others but thrives on such dowry.
Another type is: Forget doing good there r some who create hurdles / belittle/ insult a good doer:
As per Jain shastra galat ka anumodan karna bhi ek pap hai or uski saja jarur milti hai. As per Gandhiji one who bears silently wrongs is equally sinful as one who commits sin. There r people who do not support good activity, OK, but they unnecessarily criticize those who r doing a good work. There r many who can not raise voice against atrocious wrong doer, Ok but which religion teaches them to side such a person??
For my senior citizens activity or free matrimonial services for my community I have been pulled up / taunted (as waste of time) etc by my near and dear ones. And so on. But then when time comes then they too would like to get help from others.
Will god help such people??? When good activity is happening in your own building and u can't spare time to even cheer up (forget helping) and then would u like to get help from God in emergency?? On what grounds?
Surprising not many want to help an accident victim but when they don't get help they curse the world.
I have seen people who made faces at the time of others good news, good offers, good teachings. I have seen those who turned their back at the time when someone honest needed them but they over zealously helped the sinister. I have experienced that instead of lauding good work/ person they condemned same. I have seen instead of criticizing wrong doer they sided with him/ her. And finally I have seen them in dumps crying and yelling and suffering. If anyone wants to hear those true stories may came to me.
And these yelling crying persons must be asking GOD where r you????????? And God does not reply. Should he???

A man went to a barbershop to have
his hair cut and his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer. "Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist.
Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people?
Would there be abandoned children?
If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain.
I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things."
The customer thought for a moment,
but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument.
The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop.
Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard.
He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber:
"You know what? Barbers do not exist."
"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!"
"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."
"Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me."
"Exactly!" affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist!
That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help.
That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."
If you think God exists, act in time, with heart and honesty
If you think God does not exist, delete it! And wait to see what is up his sleeve.
