[rti4empowerment] Why did the Government of India, do this?

1. Why did the Government of India, do this?

Enact Right to Information Act, 2005.

A law empowering Citizens to Question the Government.

A strong anti-corruption law.

A law with a kitty of most popular scams like Adarsh, CWG etc etc. to its credit.

The Question people are asking is - Why did Govt. enact a law which exposed their own scams and get them where they are today?

2. Why did Government of India, do this?

When it had been 42 years since it was first introduced in the Parliament, and the Lokpal was completely forgotten .....

Why did the present Government NOW took the initiative and asked National Advisory Council (NAC) to Draft Lokpal Bill, in the first place?

The Question people are asking is - Whether the issue of JanLokpal was picked up from from the table of NAC's Lokpal .....

The Question people are asking is whether Lokpal preceded JanLokpal or vice-versa?

Best Regards,

Sunil Ahya.
