Now Mr Jebmani himself has come out with the best reason for sparing the lives of the three sentenced to the gallows- the main culprits being free and in the open!
I shall give another reason too: that if the laws were fair and implemented without fear or favour Rajiv himself should have been tried for treason and sentenced to death for endangering the lives of indian soldiers who were launched in an unwarranted operation in a foreign land and were forced to fight an enemy who was even then being provided arms by Rajiv!
And I have also this question to ask: how is it that when a case like this- where a conspiracy was supposed to have been hatched in Srilanka and executed in India in 1992, with the executor perishing with the act- have been so effectively and efficiently solved by our investigating and prosecuting agencies, in another event that was equally gruesome and perpetuated right under the noses of the powers that be in Delhi in 1984- the anti sikh pogrom- not even a charge sheet has been filed so far?
The Bofors case is also another glaring example of how our investigating and prosecuting agencies fail when it comes to punishing the biggest criminals of them all!
i agree with SATHBIR SINGH.the killers should be hanged but not only these three who are in jail. The investigation in which i also took place as inspector of police was the aorst i have ever seen or read.main players were let off with out any action and those fellows are in the open demanding and challanging the hanging. the ruling upa which should defend its decision is not opening its mouth. if you are following what is happening in tamilnadu and if you are a patriot you will kill the home minister for allowing such anti national activities which are dangerously in the open. u can call me in 94440 18543 or on my LAND LINE 044 24995579
