It seems that we Indians have become immune to social and political disturbances. The recent years, at least, testify the existence of the phenomenon.
Multi-billion scams, attempts of ethnic cleansing, repeated terror attacks and other such infamous activities ease one of the prominent facets of India.
The completion of 64 years as the world's largest democracy deserves many accolades, at the same time, a critical analysis of the nationhood slaps us with hard-hitting questions.
The slums stare in the eyes of the symbols of growth and developments like airports and skyscrapers. A large section of the population still lies below poverty line. Does it mean independence of a country in real sense? Being cynic is a sin but being skeptical should not be crime.
