[rti4empowerment] Re: " Can you count the corruption money snatched from us by the corrupt since independence " awareness drive in lucknow

In sixties Korea was poorer than India . Their per capita GNP was
lesser than ours . Now a Korean is on an average 16 times richer than
an Indian.

Our per capita GNP is ranked No. 138 India... 1,265 while South Korea is ranked 33 $ 20,591 . Corruption & good governance go hand in hand .

An Indian today is poorer by $19,326 per year . Multiply it by 120 cr people = $231,912,000,000,000.00 ...$232 trillion annually of people's wealth has been stolen before it was earned , wasted away , whatever you may call it . Add to it lesser amounts that have been lost annually for past 64 years & it will be a colossal unimaginable amount.

During the 16th National Assembly, which was formed in May 2000, civic
groups came together to form the Citizens' Coalition for Anti-
Corruption Legislation in order to file a petition for the legislation
of anti-corruption policies during the National Assembly. The public
responded favorably to this audacious move by the civic groups, whose
subsequent outcome was the passing of the Anti-Corruption Act (ACA) on
28 June 2001. The ACA was roughly sketched, lacking substantive
provisions and measures against corruption. It was through the ACA,
however, that KICAC was born.. The KICAC was integrated into a larger
agency entitled the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission
(ACRC), which was formally launched on 29 February 2008. This
integration involved not only the KICAC, but also the Ombudsman of
Korea and the Administrative Appeals Commission.
