The appointment is highly arbitrary and totally against the true spirit of the RTI Act 2005. Not only this the provisions of the Act have not been followed in the Appointment and hence deserves to be outrightly quashed by H,E. The Governor of U.P. On one hand we talk about transparency but unfortunately the Government of Uttar Pradesh is determined to Act in a bureaucratic manner keeping the concept of transparency at hook.
What a Shame?
I think that we the RTI Activist of India should join hands together and without wasting any more time should file an PIL against such illegal appointments. I wonder where is Dr. Nutan Thakur who has preferred to file numerous PIL on petty issues but paying no serious attention on such public interest issues.
Unfortunately I am in USA these days and shall be back only in September otherwise in the interest of RTI Act I would have definitely filed a case in the Hon'ble High Court for quashing this appointment.
