[rti4empowerment] Dharma of inclusive growth

Interactive Session on "Dharma of Inclusive Growth"
23rd March 2011 : ISI Auditorium, Lodhi Road – New Delhi

India is slowly but steadily getting integrated into the world economy which is being run on capitalist principles. Capitalist market economy has brought unprecedented progress in terms of producing goods and services for the masses and by reducing world poverty, though the divide between the rich and poor has increased. Capitalism though generally efficient in allocating scarce resources optimally often falls prey to greed, panic and disastrous depressions. Though National Governments and International Organizations intervene to set the train of the economy again on the rails, often Governments are seen as poor business managers. Corruption becomes endemic. The only solution is making capitalism more compassionate and inclusive. The Indian model of Dharma governance could give valuable insights in tackling this challenge of making capitalism more humane and growth more inclusive.

Recognizing these imperatives, AIMA is organizing an Interactive Session with Swami Bodhananda, a highly respected and accomplished teacher of Vedanta Yoga and Meditation (The Spiritual Founder and Director of Sambodh Foundation). Swamiji shall address on the theme "Dharma of Inclusive Growth" on 23rd March 2011 (Wednesday) at the ISI Auditorium, 10 , Lodhi Road, New Delhi from 6:30 pm to 7: 45 pm.
