Rajendra Lingam One of the best legislation what independent India has made.
Ankur Sharma Mr Gandhi i had undergone online certificate in RTI conducted by center for good governance. Also i got selected for Internship under you from January. I am coming to witness your management drive in CIC. You had made CIC a living legendry department.

Stalin Dayanand It is the most powerful weapon to try and ensure accountability from the govt. It gives us hope that we can turn things around in this mess that our country is in today!
Anil Galgali RTI is most powerful then any assembly, parliament debet which only & only Member of that section use & ask & get wt there question's answers! RTI gv power to common man & begins natural justice asa RTI filed! Great India who gv us RTI

Nasima Azkiya Dear Sir, of course it is useful. As we do not have such a law yet, but we have an article on our constitiution to legitimatize RTI.
Anand Sharma Through RTI Anonymous (RTIA) we have been able make some difference. In the current scenario, RTI seems to be only option for the common man
Siddharth Murarka RTI was a light to freedom which may be murdered very shortly.. shortest freedom I can say
Sir, I have used RTI and have a wonderful experience on the basis of RTI. Due to RTI Act I got possession of Plot resumed by Improvement Trust, Phagwara after 22 years of litigation. When I sent an RTI application after highlighting the sca...See More
Medha Chaturvedi It's a great tool, if used as it should be. Some fine tuning is much needed though to make it more effective.
Sir, Its an extremely powerful tool, in fact, lethal ! The Government, somehow has failed to promote it in spirit and is learning at the cost of the common citizens, many a times the common man is left to approach the High Court given the a...See More

Vivek Kumar Singh Under RTI in true sense government is for the people,by the people and of the people.

RTI is the best thing done so far to empower the ordinary (educated) citizen. What we need now is enforceable charters of citizen services (centre as well as states), a judical accountability act, adequate number of courts, a lok pal and l...See More

Dheeraj Malhotra Sir, I am big fan of you, and use RTI regularly, but u have broken my heart in my first exprience in CIC by not providing me the time to present my stand in of my second appeal to you. You finished my proceedings in few min. Sory but i was very disappointed with your judgement.but dont wory, i am still fan of you.
Gowree Gokhale Based on experience of implementation of the Act, relevant amendments to weed out ambiguities and to make process more efficient should be proposed.
The implementation of the RTI Act is pathetic at the State level, Pune Bench, where, decisions are passed as per the whims of the Information Commissioner, who seems to have his own rules vis-a-vis the Act which suits him and the corrupt Go...See More
Suyog Khude RTI = MAGIC
Greg Pereira Waiting period on second appeal is discouraging. It has defeated the effect of RTI to some extent. Awaiting second hearing for last six months.
Rashad Shaikh @ greg, sometimes it takes close to a year, be prepared to wait longer even...
Biju Augustine RTI + 1st Appeal OK 2nd appeal goes in to deep Freezer apply no replyreply
Pradeep Indulkar RTI commissioners do attain complaints under article 18. In one case then RTI commissioner, Kokan Bhavan Mr. Navinkumar passed two orders against me. Those orders were challenged in Mumbai High Court and HC scrapped both the orders of Mr. Navinkumar. This was really very unfortunate and painful exercise which took almost 2 years.
Paras Singh RTI is the weapon against the corruption......Regretfully it is to say that except you all the Information Commissioner are always tried to hide the information. Moreover they do not pass speaking order...I am pointing out a Info commissioner who deals with the cases of Home Ministry. I losed my confidence in her. Really bureucracy is prevailing over CIC.

Anuj Chauhan used Many Time.. but abhi RTI ka mazzak bana kar rakha hai .... !
agr RTI hi shai se implement ho jaye toh ... tasveer hi badal jaye...!

Paras Singh How are you so good and nice man ? Pls reply.....I want be a like you.

Gordhan Golani Used number of times but department from where I asked the information treated me as if I am the enemy of department and even the SIC in my case supported the department by not takiing action against the officers for now following the RTI rules
Vijay Duseja a powerful instrument in the hands of common citizen. I have used it with mixed success. i got desired Info in around 50% of my app'n. some irritating replies are: the dept doesnt have info in the matter(even though of their own jurisdiction), approch relevant dept(again, it pertains to same muncipality-BMC.
Umesh Rashmi Rohatgi yes since its inception no very useful at least public has a place to start

Mahendra Kumar Gupta RTI is the most effective tool now a days which can be afforded by the common men to bring good governance and sense of responsibility in the bureaucracy. This is despite its shortcomings as in many cases, applicants do not get full information and have to follow - up the cases to next higher levels.
Atul Kasar constitutional right....!!!

Jignesh Thakkar RTI can be usefull for a common man like we all so I like to support this movement ever.
Jitendra Gupta I research and give strong input, let people who have time use it.
Rejimon Ck Used over 150 RTI application. However results not encouraging in 50% as there is no fear of penalty for public authority. This is mainly ICs barring you are lenient inspite on record denial n delay. RTI would be effective once CIS impose penalty for breach of RTIA 2005
Shobana Krishnan Used it many times & based on that have filed a writ petition in bombay high court.Without RTI it is impossible to get any info.I believe RTI is very effective when the right Questions are asked to the right Govt dept/organisation to avoid delays & evasive replies.Implementation of Sect 4 of RTI act shld be made mandatory.
Tushar Dalvi Shailesh, I know you are aware of this. I have used RTI successfully to get results in my favour in less than five days of I sending the letter under RTI code.
aah....Useful but not very much...its difficult for a 'aam Bhartiya' even we use it and not getting any response very easily. dept. gives reply very smartly. I have been using for many years but even after 6 years of it's passing , it has b...See More
Ajay Jangid yes sir, runing a office to help pepole with RTI
·
In fact, these are SIC's and CIC which is killing the RTI by refraining to impose penalties even in the case of violoation of RTI Act. The record of Shri Shailesh Gandhi in the matter is above all but he has also failed to give a clear rep...See More
Ashok Shinde - No. of times I used RTI successfully

Sudhir Sachdeva RTI is a very useful piece of legislation, but it is not being used properly due to lack of knowledge. Citizens need to be educated about its use.
