On 19 /12/2009 Upon Pressure From Sri B H Veeresh Our Freind and Trustee of RTI Study Center and Upon instructions From KIC the GOK Created an Kiosk in 5th Stage of MS Buildings to cater and assist Citizens in Filing RTI requests to All offices of Secretariat situated in Seat of Power Namely Vidhan soudha Etc which are Sanitized Zones .
Users of RTI found that This office Remained Unmanned and Useless on and off and were Reminding the Concerned DPAR RTI cell to Properly Manage it but unfortunately course corrections never happened as anticipated , finally from the Past 6 months this KIOSK would be open with half door nside costly Computers etc , Govt Seals , records etc but Nobody to Man not even a Peon .
Frustrated by this Sorry State of Affairs Friends and Regular RTI Applicants brought this to notice Electronic Media (kannada) and today Several TV Channels raided this Kiosk to Notice that what ever citizens Informed was certainly TRUE sathyameva Jayathe and when Repeatdly Shown on TV , A person who refused reveal his name but stated that he is on OOD from Food & civil Supplies Dept appeared , He Acknowledged that one Tippeswamy who is assigned duties in the KIOSK is on long leave due to his Daughters marriage and he got information over telephone to go over to Kiosk from an Acquittance over phone therefore his presence in the KIOOSK
A VERY SORRY STATE OF THE WAY GOK VIEWS RTI .
