Dear Friends,
Most of the states have Prevention of Defacement of Property Act but they are not being implemented. Other states have rules in their Municipal Acts to deal with such defacement.
Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act 2007 ( Copy along with my explanations is enclosed ) is the strongest where the penalty is Rs 50,000 or one year Jail or both.
This is the time when we should force the Politicians ( MP, MLA and the Coucillors ) to ensure that their areas are Clean & Poster Free.
At present, Poster Hatao is active in Delhi, Mumbai & Chennai.
