Teachers assigned 'Non-Teaching' works in transgression
Respected Sir,
RTIFED is deeply agonized to read the state of affairs in the Government Schools under the control of Education Department, Chandigarh Administration as reported in Chandigarh Newsline, Indian Express dated 08 December 2014 (ANNEXURE-1) wherein it was reported that how government schools has burdened the school teachers with the management of various school funds of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan as well as with other non-academic duties, in utter violation of Section 23 Part 1 of the Right To Education Act, 2009 (ANNEXURE-2) and disobedience of the order of the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana High Court (ANNEXURE-3).
It was given to understand that even after the letters issued twice by District Education Officer, the schools heads deliberately ignored to implement the orders resulting in the status-quo and all non-academic duties including fund duties are still burdened on the school teachers.
