[rti4empowerment] Wah BJP sirji, Wah

It is with some degree of satisfaction that I read this morning that the BJP would introduce the Judges Appointment Bill in this session of parliament itself.

It is also satisfying to note that it has decided to take the more arduous route of constitutional amendment (in joint session, hopefully) so that the judiciary would not be able to strike it down, rather than mere amendment of law.

However, it would be greatly more relevant if alongwith that Bill, the judgement whereby the judges gave themselves immunity from criminal investigation-prosecution, is also repealed (just like the Single Point Directive).

It would also be of great benefit to humanity, if it is specifically lawed that the judges acting illegally and / or not acting legally will not be under any protection whatsoever.

It would be greatly helpful too, if the number of SC judges is increase to at least 40 immediately, and then to 50 and 60 within a year or two.

Finally, not only must the Bill be introduced, but it must also be passed and Gazetted in this session itself.

Alok Tholiya One Madhukar Purohit had his names enrolled in jaipur and Mumbai. Against my complaint to Kherwadi Assembly Election officer for deletion of name Purohit on oath wrote to election officer that his name does not appear anywhere except in Kherwadi assembly constituency. I furnished all records to prove that his passport, his business licences, his bank accounts , his mobiles, his phones, his club memberships, all 5 vehicles are all registered at his Jaipur address where he owns a palatial bungalow. First they continued his name. Then I gave them as proof copy of election roll of Jaipur where his name was appearing FOR YEARS.So I finally made two requests to Kherwadi Election Officer that not only now his name be deleted but also necessary action be taken on him for lying before quasi judicial body as well as for enrolling with full knowledge names at two places. They deleted his name but did not take action on his extra legal acts. Then I wrote to higher ups but heard nothing from them so I filed RTI. PIO did not reply. Then First appeal officer did not bother. Then I went to SIC. He asked them to give all papers in file but did not ask them to take action. But worst is he did not take action on PIO. When I made repeat complaint then he directed Election Commissioner to take departmental action. 10 moths have passed but no action has been taken by Collector Western Suburbs , Mumbai who is supposed to act. So RTI has been weakened by two ways one SIC delaying orders and second not punishing erring PIO's.

वाराणसी: आरटीआई कार्यकर्ता को अस्पताल में घुसकर मारी गोली

वाराणसी/मऊ. मऊ के सरायलखन्सी थाना क्षेत्र में अज्ञात बदमाशों ने एक आरटीआई कार्यकर्ता को अस्पताल में घुसकर गोली मार दी। बुधवार की देर इमरजेंसी वार्ड में चली गोली से अस्पताल में अफरा-तफरी मच गई। आनन-फानन घायल आरटीआई कार्यकर्ता को बीएचयू रेफर कर दिया गया। फिलहाल पुलिस मामले की छानबीन कर रही है।

बताते चलें कि थाना सरायलखन्सी के पिजड़ा गांव निवासी राजकुमार आरटीआई कार्यकर्ता हैं। कुछ दिनों पहले उन्होंने मनरेगा में हुए कामों की सूचना आरटीआई के तहत मांगी थी। बताया जाता है कि गांव के प्रधान ने मनरेगा में धांधली की थी। इसके चलते राजकुमार को बार-बार जान से मार डालने की धमकी मिल रही थी।

पहले भी हुआ हमला

बीते दिन कुछ अज्ञात बदमाशों ने उनपर हमला किया था। बदमाशों ने हथौड़े से उनके हाथ-पैर कुचल दिए थे। इसके चलते उन्हें अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। इसके बाद भी प्रधान के बेटे ने उन्हें कई बार जान से मारने की धमकी दी थी। इसी बीच बुधवार की रात उनपर जानलेवा हमला हुआ। फिलहाल आरटीआई कार्यकर्ता को इलाज के लिए बीएचयू रेफर किया गया है। डॉक्टरों के मुताबिक उनकी हालत नाजुक है।

क्या कहती है पुलिस

पुलिस का कहना है कि जनसूचना के तहत राजकुमार समाज सेवा का कार्य करते हैं। देर रात बदमाशों ने उन्हें गोली मार दी। प्रधान के बेटे पर पहले ही मुकदमा दर्ज है। मामले की जांच की जा रही है।
