[rti4empowerment] Outstation Vehicles Being Used In Mumbai Beyond Permitted Time

Hello,

Reference this crane, NL 05 D 6726, RTO Wokha, Nagaland

This crane, being operated by Simplex, is apparently not owned by it, as per its equipment list, unless I missed it, and besides, what kind of such large works would be on going in Nagaland to justify such a purchase on a self use basis, since it is black on white number plate, meaning, it is not to be hired or rented.

If the crane operator is renting it to Simplex, it is probably violating the its license issued under the relevant CMVR, and in any case, what is it doing in Mumbai, Maharashtra, when it is supposed to be based in Nagaland.

Has it paid all the entry taxes, road taxes for Mumbai, and since the metro work is on going since over five years, it has over stayed its exempted limit of not having to change to MH number plate

This must be investigated, apart from the simple fact that the crane appears to be driven and operated without any supervision, and probably by inexperienced persons, given the number of incidents and accidents mentioned in the reports.

If all is well, then, all is well.

Thanqx.

Acrane on Wednesday toppled at a Metro rail site near Sarvodaya Hospital, Ghatkopar, with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority threatening action against the contractor.

"Our safety committee has begun investigations into the accident," they said. MMOne is building the Metro line from Versova to Ghatkopar The metro and monorail projects have seen several accidents, which have taken a few lives, over six years.
