The Concerned Cell in DPAR is Continously avoiding Coming Out and giving information on the same inspite of Press conferences and Reports in News papers like yours Which they ought to Have done . There is an SLP Pending Before the Hon'ble supreme court On the Matter of Procedure , Mode ,Methodology and guidelines For appointment of Information commissioners and i would have Given you the Direct telephone Number of Two senior advocates and as well as the Petitionerlocated in Delhi. This would have given the Real Face in the matter
In Fact I on my part way back in April 22/2010 Itself went to Press Oppossing All these Appointments Only Favouring bureacrats or Political appointees . Please see the hindu of 23 April Page 4 Also Prajavani of Even Date Where in Clearly In the press meet I Have said there is No Clear cut Directions in the Act To Appoint IAS Officers . In fact All Organisations At all india level Working on RTI are opposed to IAS Officers Appointment as a IC After Retirement or on verge And As an Parking space .

Two of the ICs in our state were never IAS Officers and several IAS & IPS officers Presented Themselves as Petitioners Before them and that is so why vice versa cannot be done

Our earnest hope is This Widely regarded as Most important Legislations Passed by our parliament and arguably Best transperancy law in the world will not get Mired in problems of interpretation Some real and mostof them Contrived , that too on the appointment of the iCs who Are the gaurdians of this act and by MediA Using Words which Donot have any relevance to the Act
We As Activists Fully know that the Fight to RTI is the figiht for Survival of democracy In india that too in the year ogfvgol;den jubliee of Having become an republic .
The stakes Are too high for us to ever Give Up , so well never Give UP
