A Saudi man has not seen his wife's face after 10 years of marriage and five
children, but he has seen the private parts of the woman. Islam is fighting to
impose this barbaric medival desert tribalism on the world. the first ones to
adopt Arabian custom will Indian traitors and pseudo-seculars.

Saudi man has never seen his wife's face after ten years of marriage
These habits "have nothing to do with Islam," says Mufleh Mohammed, and strictly
speaking, he's right: a Muslim woman is under no obligation to cover her face in
front of her husband. Nonetheless, the idea that there is something shameful
about showing herself is inculcated by genuine Islamic laws calling upon women
to cover everything but their faces and hands. "Saudi women's veil versus
modernity: Husband has not seen wife's face despite 10 years of marriage," from
Emirates 24/7, December 5 (thanks to all who sent this in):
After nearly 10 years of marriage that produced five children, Mufleh Mohammed
of Saudi Arabia still has not seen his wife's face.
>Mohammed Hilal, another Saudi husband, could not identify his wife who was
>killed in a road crash until her veil was put back on her face.
>Mufleh and Mohammed are among many Saudi men who have never seen the face of
>their wives as they insist on sticking to ancient tradition of keeping their
>face covered even in front of their relatives or husbands in defiance of ongoing
>changes brought about by the advent of oil and a massive foreign influx.
>In a report on such habits, the Saudi Arabic language daily Alhayat said many
>women in the conservative Gulf Kingdom that controls nearly a quarter of the
>world's oil still defy the winds of change and stick to their ancestors'
>traditions.
>Even after they get married, they never remove their burqu (face veil), leaving
>their husbands guessing how they look like. Mufleh is one of those husbands.
>"My wife still keeps her face covered all the time even in front of her family
>and relatives because she has been accustomed to this since she was a child...I
>have to respect her wishes and not insist on seeing her face," he said.
>"I cannot deny that the woman's habit to cover her face in front of her family
>and inside her house is a tradition that my tribe had inherited from our
>ancestors...but I have thought that social changes and openness will alter some
>of these habits since they have nothing to do with Islam...but they have not
>changed...although I have been married to my wife for nearly 10 years and have
>five children from her, I have not seen her face even once in my life."...

Looks like islam completely denies these women everything, even an identity. Or
at least, they deny it themself, under influence of islam. It's damn sad..

The words "tradition" and "tribe" are often used as nice, harmless-sounding code
for oppression and pressure. Those who cannot get free of their tribes because
the countries they live in offer no freer alternatives are at the mercy of the
"tribal elders" (toothless, illiterate old men enforcing brutal laws) if they
dare to defy "traditions".

This is the first time I've ever felt sorry for a Saudi man. It's also the first
time I've respected a Saudi man, since the husband didn't insist that his wife
remove the veil out of respect for her wish to keep it covered.
It's not the first time I've ever felt sorry for a Saudi woman.

It reminds me of the joke about a Southern man describing his wife: "She's not
very good looking, but she's dumb."

Of course, Islam has many gaudier horrors—but this is one of the saddest things
I have ever heard.
More:
Mufleh and Mohammed are among many Saudi men who have never seen the face of
their wives as they insist on sticking to ancient tradition of keeping their
face covered even in front of their relatives or husbands in defiance of ongoing
changes brought about by the advent of oil and a massive foreign influx.
In a report on such habits, the Saudi Arabic language daily Alhayat said many
women in the conservative Gulf Kingdom that controls nearly a quarter of the
world's oil still defy the winds of change and stick to their ancestors'
traditions.
"My wife still keeps her face covered all the time even in front of her family
and relatives because she has been accustomed to this since she was a child...I
have to respect her wishes and not insist on seeing her face," he said.
........................
I've heard this before in regard to this "tradition"—that the men are perfectly
"modern", but have to "respect" their wife's wishes.
*Since when*? Wearing a veil even in front of your loved ones is not something
someone adopts naturally. Most likely, they were warned throughout their lives
from childhood the dire consequences they would suffer if they were to show
their faces under any circumstances.
This is just one step further than the "habits"—enforced by Saudi law and the
Muttaween—the religious police—that all women cover in public—in fact, in the
presence of all unrelated men.
As for the "foreign influx", most Saudis have the greatest contempt for
foreigners—not for just, say, Filipino maids and Pakistani construction workers,
but even French project managers and American engineers. So this "influx" is not
allowed to have much influence on Saudi society.

I wonder when these people will ever outgrow that obsolete tribal mentality, and
into the individualist mentality pervasive in the 21st century. My guess is,
never.

I don't know who their ancestors were but in my copy of the Perfumed Garden, in
every single drawing of those people, they were stark arsed necked. You think I
misunderstood what I was looking at? Maybe we could send a crate of those books
to them, wouldn't matter what language, pictures says it all.

I don't believe this crap. Her husband is bound to have peeked while she was
asleep or accidently caught a glimpse of her face at some point during ten years
of cohabitation. I guess she eats alone in a separate room or perhaps the clever
Saudis have devised a way to eat through a veil.
Can you imagine sleeping with your face covered?! Just tossing and turning in
the bed would dislodge a veil. If he hasn't seen her face, I'll assume he hasn't
seen anything else and that should make for some interesting sex.

It's alright. A Muslim man can still beat his woman and make her pump out baby
after baby for the demographic jihad without ever having to see her face.
