Mughl – e - Azam is the most popular film of the Indian cinema. 'Sholay' is number 2, 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayengey' is number 3 while 'Mother India' and 'Awara' are respectively 4 and 5. 'Deewar' has been placed at 6, '3 Idiots' at 7 'Kabhi Kabhie' at 8 'Andaz' at 9 and 'Maine Pyar Kiya' at 10.
The Indian cinema is celebrating its 100 years of birth. On this occasion the British Asian newspaper by the name of Eastern Eye conducted a poll and brought out a list of outstanding Indian movies of all times. This poll was based on many aspects like box office collections, impact and content. Mughle – e – Azam was found to be at number one place in the survey.
