Letter No. PRSC/RTI/2015/2010 of 04 August 2015
(copy attached)
Dear Sir,
Information under the Right to Information Act 2005 was sought from the Punjab Right to Service Commission (PRSC) and the information received from that commission has just revealed the serious lack of application of resources, both by the Punjab Government as well by the PRSC itself. The mind-numbing composition of the commission and its infrastructure is big dent on the taxpayers' money.
The complete text of the letter together with the its enclosure is attached with this mail as a PDF File, which may please be downloaded for further appropriate action please.
It is just bizarre that the full commission has been constituted without any application of mind by any quarter in the corridor of governance and huge public money is being spent for practically doing nothing of any public good. It looks that the retired babus have been rehabilitated in the commission with the 'privy-purses' as a reward for their loyalties during the active service.
It is prayed through this Notice that the size of the commission may be toned down to the single commissioner and that commissioner may get on duty to streamline the Service Regime, particularly in the districts and interiors, so that the people are made aware of their rights and commission gets some credible work to perform.
Thanking you,
Very cordially yours,
Surendera M. Bhanot
