Annaji,
This is the first step in the long and sustained battle against corruption, triggered by you.
Every citizen of India, who has shown support to you and has been moved by your determination to combat corruption, has to become a anti-corruption crusader in his/ her own sphere. Few specific pro-active steps are
(i) Stop giving bribes;
(ii) Treat government officers as public servants, instead of superior authorities - it may be necessary to deflate their ego to command respect,
(iii) Use RTI Act extensively wherever inefficiency , corruption or waste of public money is suspected and (iv) RTI Act enables every citizen to act like a "Social Auditor." You and I are failing in our duties as a citizen, if we do not use this empowerment.
Annaji has set an example of personal sacrifice to follow his conscience as a responsible citizen of India. We have to follow this example, in our own sphere, within our personal capabilities. Every one of us does not have the tenacity of purpose to sit on hunger strike and it is not necessary. What is required that we should fulfill our duties as a responsible citizen.
