[rti4empowerment] Re: Illegal crossing of Indian border by persons from Bangladesh, Nepal, etc.

Friends,

I am surprised at the misinterpretation, as I am not a hindu bigot.

I am a former army officer and am familiar strategic matters, having attended a one year program at National Defence College equivalent to with masters in military studies and hope to get an M.Phil on the subject soon. My perspective therefore is of a citizen concerned about laxity in allowing illegal immigrants. Some thing needs to be done about it and the problem is being ignored by the Government.

Every nation takes measures to protect their borders to (i) Prevent neighboring countries from occupying our territory, (ii) Prevent smuggling and (iii) Prevent illegal immigrants. Whereas our army and BSF has been effective in protecting our borders from illegal occupation, the track record in stopping illegal immigrants has been quite dismal. I have pointed out this aberration in my email ( for kind attention of persons may not be aware of this problem) and this does not make me a "hindu bigot."

Army and BSF persons are willing to sacrifice their lives to protect the border ( as I did in 1965 operations in the Rajasthan sector.) Such persons find the laxity of Government in dealing with illegal immigrants absurd, as it makes their supreme sacrifice futile. Therefore there is a strong case for review of our Government policies relating to immigrants: this perspective is evident in well researched email I received from some source an posted for information of members of yahoo group rti4empowerment.

I am firm in my opinion ( as a citizen of a democratic secular country) and it needs it a warped mind to consider it as views of a " hindu bigot."

I will soon initiate an opinion poll on the subject.

The only question is if Dhirendra Krishna. or his comoderators will
immediately expel bigots and fascists like RSingh361 from this group.
The proof of the pudding is in its eating.
