[rti4empowerment] BJP reacts to weakileaks on Narendra Modi

BJP has expressed its displeasure at US for not informing India when Modi's
assassination was being planned in Pakistan. Does US wish to eliminate Modi
under pressure from anti-India pseudo-secular outfits in this country?

I will be sending out a list of anti-India organizations whom you should not
donate.

Please also impress upon your people in India to stop donating money to
government-controlled temples in India. Please visit temples, pray, and leave
the temple grounds. Bhagwan wants your love and devotion, not your money. This
is one way to free our temples from these money-hungry pseudo-seculars.

BJP reacts to WikiLeaks on Narendra Modi
Press Trust of India, Updated: December 06, 2010 15:53 IST

New Delhi:  Expressing concern over a WikiLeaks report that Lashkar-e-Toiba had
planned to assassinate Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, BJP today accused
the US of "inaction on the issue" and wanted to know how the government intends
to handle it.

"It is a matter of serious concern. He (Modi) is the target of both - those who
call themselves secular in this country and also from Pakistan agencies," BJP
leader Balbir Punj told reporters outside Parliament. (Read -- WikiLeaks Cables:

According to Information coming out of a secret State Department cable dated
June 19, 2009, Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba had planned to
assassinate Modi.

"The US should have convened it (information) to India. There was total inaction
on the part of the US even after having the information," he charged.
Seeking a response from the government over the issue Punj said, "Government has
not taken any tangible steps even after this has come to light. We will like to
know from the Prime Minister that how we intend to take up the issue with the
USA."
