| Dear Brothers and Sisters, A plethora of mails all bearing good wishes on Diwali have already made the first page of my inbox seem festive  Some are sent in bulk to all, some to yahoogroups, some individually to myself But all are cherished as Its always a pleasure to be appreciated and thought of in whatsoever manner one is remembered on a festive ocassion. That some of us actually taske the time to compose a mail or even if it a copy paste or a forward, the very fact that it was considered important enough to be part of a festive giving and sharing is something to be appreciated and cherished The festival of Lights beckons us all again this year But with what promises or beginings is something one can only hope for and work towards in the coming year ... Since last couple of years, I sent out editorials talking about the stories about Diwali and also lamenting the lack of festive spirit and the hypocrisy surrounding the celebrations while the poor in india and the rest of the world had nothing .. And no, though the situation hasn't changed for the better for them, ranting and raving about it again and again is also not making any difference A better way would be to spend the time in the way that feels better and right to YOU rather than anyone else If you feel like enjoying, go ahead and do it If you feel like doing some charity, do that If you feel like staying at home in a contemplative mood, so be it then .. There is really no need for us to do what is expected of us in the manner of going through the motions But if that too appeals to you, DO THAT The whole idea is to take responsibility for our happiness Even if our decision turns out to be wrong, it'll be our decision, based on our thought processes and therefore any mistake or flaw in it will be revealed to US for refinement ... I myself have been passing through a crisis of Faith and have been questioning and re-evaluting my beliefs My Beliefs, because I hold onto them irrespective of whether they are right or wrong If God had directly talked to me and given those beliefs to me, I would have expressed my doubts and conflicts to Him about their efficacy in my Life ... Maybe they are .. maybe they are not On the New Moon of this Diwali, Here's my prayer for all May the lamps of this Diwali light the path out of any conflict you are having May it open the gates to abundance and prosperity for you (whether through change of mindset or opportunity) May it open you up more to allow Divine Blessings to flow in your Life And May all of the above happen in a peaceful, joyful and Life affirming empowering manner Wishing you all A Happy Diwali and a Prosperous new year ahead With best wishes, from Rahul, Owner/Moderator - The CYBUGLE & 60seconds Co-Moderator - TRADESMART |
